About Us

Our Story

The story of Tucker Farm House began in 1807, when the Tucker family founded a tree farm on the banks of the winding Saco River. In 1979, the Nelson family lovingly restored the property to preserve its rich heritage and steward the surrounding land, safeguarding 250 acres of mature forest, clean water, and thriving habitat for deer, foxes, songbirds, and otters.

Today, Tucker Farm House remains a gathering place for three generations of the Nelson family and operates as a private retreat and intimate event space.

When you step onto the balcony for sunset, wander the meandering trails, or gather around the fire to watch the stars come out, we hope that you feel the timeless magic of a place preserved just as it was, and the sense that you’re part of a story more than 200 years in the making.

On the Farm

Onsite Amenities: Unwind in the saltwater hot tub, gather around the firepit for s’mores and stargazing, catch a sunset from the spacious porch, or hit the courts for a game of tennis or pickleball.

Outdoor Recreation: Our 250-acre property has abundant opportunities for outdoor activities. You’ll have easy access to hiking, fishing, swimming, tubing, tennis, and pickleball right from your doorstep, with many more activities just a short walk or drive away. Visit the Farm: In addition to its abundant wildlife, Tucker Farm House is home to seven goats, a peacock, and a small flock of chickens. Our on-site host can arrange a visit to the barn or lead you on a goat walk. We also offer visits to local farms and homesteads, just ask!
